Ockenden Manor's 28 distinctive bedrooms and suites are all individually furnished and each is named after a member of one of the two families that has owned the building since 1520.
You could enjoy the intimacy of your own dining room in Merrick, or a private staircase in Elizabeth. The Charles Room has a huge four poster bed; Hugh, a Victorian-style bath and walk-in shower; and Master has oak panelled walls, an original stone fireplace and a cosy private sitting room with views over the secluded garden.
The Michelin-starred Restaurant at Ockenden Manor offers a superb fine dining experience in the beautiful new dining room overlooking the gardens with stunning views of the South Downs National Park.
Under the expert guidance of Head Chef, Stephen Crane, the restaurant serves some of the finest food in southern England incorporating the freshest ingredients, sourced locally in Sussex whenever possible. Guests have a choice of fixed price menus including Stephen's selected Cuckfield Menu or the gastronomic seven course Tasting Menu. An inspired Wine List complements the cuisine at lunch or dinner.
Nestling in the warm green of the West Sussex countryside, Ockenden Manor Spa has been designed to create a haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Purpose-built inside a 19th century walled garden, the contemporary airy structure contrasts and complements its neighbour, the Elizabethan Ockenden Manor, and shares its nine acres of parklands and gardens.
Within the modern and sophisticated Spa are a host of superb luxury facilities where you can indulge in some well-earned pampering in one of the eight beautifully appointed treatment rooms, unwind in the heated indoor swimming pool with swim-through to outdoor pool, relax in the outdoor hot tub or relaxation rooms or workout in the air conditioned, state-of-the-art fitness suite and fitness studio.
Ockenden is perfectly placed for walking the beautiful South Downs and the Cuckmere Valley, the setting for the pretty village of Alfriston. By contrast the famous resort of Brighton with its landmark Royal Pavilion and the historic county town of Lewes are just a short drive away.
